City College of El Salvador (CCE) with the Local Government Unit of El Salvador City released Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) stipend to 39 grantees, Monday, February 8, 2021.
Despite the continuing risk of COVID-19, CCE and LGU-El Salvador City strived to distribute the educational subsidy that covers the second semester of the concluded academic year 2019-2020.
“Dako kaayo akong pasalamat sa padayon nga suporta sa programang TES, samot na sa mga estudyante nga pareho nako nga samot nagkalisod sa kinabuhi karong panahon sa pandemya”, a heartfelt message of Nick Simon Solomon on an interview during the distribution.
Solomon is one of the grantees of TES program that has received a total of P40,000 for the academic year 2019-2020.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kevin Mugot, CCE’s TES Coordinator, announced that there will be a new set of beneficiaries for the upcoming academic year and clarified that grantees are chosen by the national government from the Listahan 2.0 of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
He also added that grantees can now easily receive their stipends through LANDBANK TES card in partnership of Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) and LANDBANK of the Philippines.
First batch of grantees has already processed their application for the LANDBANK TES card.
